The Haitian Coalition operates a community-activity center at the Clarendon Hill Public Housing Development in West Somerville.  ESL and computer classes are taught in it along with many of the youth programs and trainings. The center is also the site of Haitian Coalition’s Community Computer Center, which serves the Clarendon community and is open to the public. Recently, we received a generous donation of 20 computers from the Somerville Housing Authority for the center.  There is supervision and monitoring of the center during its hours of operation.

We are now offering storytelling classes for kids in the computer center.  In the free workshops, kids use their imagination to create the most wonderful stories using Etoys, a computer software that helps them capture their ideas in sketches that they compile into a story.  For more information, follow the link posted below underneath the computer center's hours for more information.
